Electrical Trades Technology The Electrical Trades Technology program prepares students for entry-level electrician positions and apprenticeships (apprenticeship requirements vary by state and locality). This program uses a combination of distance education for online ‘theory’ courses and hands-on campus lab courses to teach entry-level electrician skills like understanding circuitry, safety practices, and basic electrical theory. The program builds on
that basic knowledge with hands-on training in designing, wiring, and troubleshooting systems like burglar alarms and motor control circuits commonly used in the home environment. Skills gained include: reading blueprints, residential wiring, basic knowledge of electrical codes, telecommunications, wireless network setup, and OSHA requirements.Locations offering this program:
